Every year we head off to the apple farm and pumpkin patch. Every year we snap a photo of our kids. At this point, I can't tell if we go to buy apples and pumpkins, or we just go to take a picture of the kids. It seems as though everything that you do when you have kids is just a big photo opportunity. Whether it's Santa Claus, Disney World, or just the first day of school, we always seem to be ready with a camera in hand. It is amazing sometimes looking back on just how big the kids have grown over the years, and that's why we do it. It's hard to realize how big they are getting when you see them every day, but when you look back at pictures that have been taken over the years, it really is unbelievable. Where did my little kids go? I hope you enjoy this week's Wednesday's Window.

We missed one year, and I can't figure out why. Where are your favorite photo opportunities?

We try to do a first day of school picture. We don't have any one thing we do every year for photos like this unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be the pumpkin drop, but sadly the town decided dropping 250lbs of pumpkins filled with candy from a 200ft crane could be a safety issue. So alas, we have been left throwing pumpkins from our garage roof or an occasional catapult when the urge to see pumpkin guts fly hits us.
ReplyDeleteI guess the annual pics for us now would be vacation shots... and the annual trips to the amusement parks. Because nothing says "Damn they're growing up so fast" like the look on their faces as they are dropped 90 feet upside down and through two loops on the latest and greatest coaster.
