The New Enemy... Starring Legos

My house is overrun with Legos, but you probably already knew that.  It's my kids favorite toy and I have to say, I love them too.  It's something that we can do together, or at the very least it's something that I can yell at them to clean up.  They have always been at the top of my kids list, but it seems something else is starting to creep in, Pokemon.  I'm not happy about this because I know how my kids get.  Along comes a new toy and they forget about all of their favorite things. It happened with all of their Cars toys, their Toy Story stuff, and even their Star Wars Galactic Heroes.  They better not forget about our favorite little plastic people.

Hopefully that will do the trick!

  3. They still like Ninjago... but they do have some sets they haven't built laying around. I won't say the interest is fading yet.

  5. Remember when POGs were cool?
Fads are fun. Embrace it. If YOU think it's cool and want to share it with them, chances are they will move on to something else. Reverse psychology... your new best friend.

  6. Bad News: I'm still talking my son out of pokemon
Good News: also still stepping on Legos
I don't think you have anything to worry about, except picking out which one you like best when they show you. It's kind of like the eye doctor - do you like this one better or this one? Only you don't get to know the points or powers to make an educated choice like they do..

  7. I find a black trash bag while they are at school works really well. And hey, if you decide to give in, you can get them in bulk (used and new) on Ebay for cheap. I got Oldest 200 one year for Christmas for ten bucks.

  8. Dude, they burn beautifully, and, most likely toxically. Also, I ask of all the parents, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS STOOPID GAME??!!!??

  9. John,

You are right on target....although a shredder would be a little quicker for you.

  10. As a mom to teens and toddlers, i've been through it all. What's worse I got rid of all the Legos & Pokemon from my 15 y/o and now my almost 5 y/o wants the same crap that we used to own but I gave away to Goodwill years ago!
