My little guy LOVES the pool. Not unlike a lot of kids his age he would sleep in there if he could. Monday nights are swim class night for us, and it is something Carter very much looks forward to. We decided to put the boys in private swim lessons just to give them more time in the pool. In the group lessons there is more time sitting on the edge of the pool than actually swimming in it.
It seems our decision has paid off, as Carter has really taken a liking to the water. Over the past few months he has gone from someone who was really cautious in the water, to a kid who looks more like a fish. Sure he might look really goofy with his goggles on but since he put those over his eyes he really has started to excel in the water.Today he decided he would swim THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE POOL, not once but four times! For you and I that would be a hundred yards and most likely the death of me, but for a four year old who is barely three feet tall it's gotta be like swimming a mile! Do we have a future Michael Phelps on our hands? I think right now we are closer to Nemo, but I wouldn't put anything past this little guy.
